Holocaust Museum Houston welcomes your feedback and your contributions to our social media profiles about issues that are consistent with the Museum’s mission to educate people about the Holocaust, remember the 6 million Jews and other innocent victims, honor the Survivors’ legacy, and teach the dangers of hatred, prejudice and apathy using the lessons of the Holocaust and other genocides.
The Museum strives to encourage a forum that is open and welcoming to many viewpoints and opinions. Towards that goal, we reserve the right to remove posts and comments that violate specific guidelines.

Formats
HMH can provide most images as digital files for certain uses. Slides are provided for personal or scholarly use only; reproductions are not permitted from this medium. All works must be presented in their entirety without cropping or overprinting unless prior written approval is obtained from HMH.
Requests for Images
All requests must be made in writing by e-mail to info@hmh.org. Please specify the nature of the project and include all details of the proposed use. For a book, please include print run, publication date, title, author, and languages in which the book will appear. Also, indicate where in the publication the image will appear (e.g., cover, interior pages, back cover). For all other requests, please provide as much detailed information as possible concerning the image. Useful information includes artist, title, date, medium and HMH accession number if known.
If no photography exists for the image you request, we may be able to photograph the object for an additional fee.
Payment
Upon receipt of your request, we will send you an invoice outlining the fees due and our reproduction guidelines. All requests for fee waivers must be placed in writing. We accept payment by credit card in U.S. dollars and by money order or check drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to “Holocaust Museum Houston.” Fees are nonrefundable, and permission is granted for one edition, one use only.
Use
In return for the use-fee payment, HMH grants approval only to the extent of its rights relating to the request. Certain works of art, as well as photographs of those works, may be protected by copyright, trademark or related interests not owned by HMH. The responsibility for securing any other necessary permission devolves to the applicant.

Are all materials on the Web site available for use?
No. Some materials directly related to the Museum collections or changing exhibits may not be available for use. Please contact info@hmh.org with any questions.

Yes, provided the site displays no advertisements and no sponsors, does not charge a fee for services, and does not offer any product or service for sale. The images must remain unaltered, and all of the accompanying caption information, including donor recognition, must be included without alteration, and the citation should include the URL specified above.

How do I obtain permission for other forms of publication?
