In March 2011, civil war broke out in Syria. Since then, 11 million people have fled the country, prompting a refugee crisis in nations spanning the globe. More than 18,000 found their home in the United States. The Syrian refugee exhibit at Holocaust Museum Houston encourages visitors to see beyond the war and learn about the refugees' new lives. The resources below discuss this, as well as providing more information about the Syrian Civil War and the refugee experience.
