ROCO Connections: We Were the Music

The chamber concert will feature the premiere of two of Bruce Adolphe’s triptych of commissions for oboe, cello, and piano.”We Were the Music” is inspired by and dedicated to Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, who played cello in the women’s orchestra in Auschwitz. Also to be performed, “Music is a Dream” is dedicated to the memory of pianist Alice Herz-Sommer, who was imprisoned in Theresienstadt and performed there during her imprisonment.
