Drop-In Virtual Tour | Human Rights and Bak Galleries

In response to the need for distance learning options, Holocaust Museum Houston has created virtual tours for classrooms and community groups. Participants can tour the Museum’s galleries virtually and interact live with a certified HMH Docent. During this Drop-In Virtual Tour, join an HMH Docent and explore the Lester and Sue Smith Human Rights Gallery and the Samuel Bak Gallery and Learning Center.

Lester and Sue Smith Human Rights Gallery
Experience the evolution of human rights throughout history on this docent led tour. Students will examine guiding human rights principles established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and will discover remarkable stories of modern day Upstanders who have protected and advanced human rights across the globe.

Samuel Bak Gallery and Learning Center
Become immersed in the world of Holocaust art through the paintings of prolific artist and Holocaust survivor, Samuel Bak. On this docent guided tour, students will consider the role and meaning of Holocaust art through an analysis of Bak’s famous works.
