Professional Development for Educators

Holocaust Museum Houston is pleased to offer professional development trainings for educators.

Holocaust Museum Houston hosts year-round professional development trainings for K-12 educators at the Museum and on school campuses. Through our professional development trainings, educators explore the Holocaust, human rights, and character education to support classroom instruction on these topics. Educators participate in guided discussions and activities designed for K-12 classrooms while learning about FREE education programs and resources available at the Museum.

Workshops hosted at the Museum include tours of our galleries and interactive presentations led by the HMH Education Team. Educators receive instructional strategies, activities, and resources as a part of the workshop experience. Full day, half day, and by the hour workshops are available and include free parking and admission to the Museum. Workshops can also be designed for educators interested in hosting their department or district meeting at HMH.

Additionally, school administrators can schedule on-demand professional development presentations for their campus/district in-service days or during PLC time. HMH Educators can travel directly to your district/campus and provide in-person presentations for your group at NO COST. Full day, half day, and by the hour workshops are available and can be designed to fit your schedule. Virtual presentations are also available.

HMH Professional Development Trainings include CPE/GT credits and a certificate of participation upon completing the program.
