Rose Eisenstein was born in Łódź, Poland in 1933. She was the only member of her immediate family to survive the Holocaust.
After World War II, Eisenstein married her husband Jacob, whom she had known prior to the war. The couple followed Jacob’s brother Julek to New York in 1950. In 1953, the Eisensteins moved to Texas where Jacob established a successful construction business. Jacob and Rose had two children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
