In honor of Pride Month, Holocaust Museum Houston’s young professionals’ group, NEXTGen, and Reliant invite you to join us for a private look at Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which explores the American judicial system through one of its sharpest legal minds, the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

As a LGBTQ+ ally, Justice Ginsburg joined landmark major decisions for LGBTQ rights on the bench and became the first Supreme Court justice to conduct a same-sex wedding in 2013. On view in the Josef and Edith Mincberg Gallery, Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a vibrant celebration of Justice Ginsburg’s life and her numerous, often simultaneous roles as a student, wife, mother, lawyer, judge, women’s rights pioneer, and Internet phenomenon.

This event will feature remarks from Mitchell Avila Katine, founding partner at Katine Nechman McLaurin LLP. In 2003, Mitchell, along with co-counsel Lambda Legal, argued the Lawrence v. Texas case to the Supreme Court, which laid the foundation for the historic 2015 same-sex marriage decision.

Special thanks to Reliant for sponsoring this event and to Bodegas Taco Shop for generously donating breakfast tacos! This event is open to the public, but RSVP is required.
