The Boniuk Center for the Future of Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Education

The Boniuk Center physically and conceptually houses Holocaust Museum Houston’s Education Department. The physical space holds four classrooms, staff offices, storage rooms, and a library.

OUR MISSION

Holocaust Museum Houston educates the public about the Holocaust, preserves and defends the memory of the six million Jews and millions of other victims, and honors the legacy and voices of Holocaust survivors. Drawing upon the lessons of history, we challenge antisemitism, hatred and indifference while promoting individual responsibility, moral courage, and respect for human rights.

OUR VISION

We imagine a world that honors and preserves the memory of the Holocaust, confronts antisemitism, hatred and indifference, and upholds the dignity and sanctity of every human life. Through remembrance and education, we strive to build a just, compassionate, and informed society in which genocide and systemic oppression are impossible, and in which every individual embraces their responsibility for our shared future.

HMH is recognized across the Holocaust education world as an innovator and an institution who reveres the memories that shape our work. With this legacy, HMH’s Boniuk Center for the Future of Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Studies will create new ground using pioneering education initiatives.
