For Children's Eyes: Illustrating Life's Lessons

An exhibition for children of images from children's books illustrating the dangers of hatred and prejudice and the importance of acceptance and friendship.

Colorful panels from children's books like Dr. Seuss' "The Sneetches" reveal the process of accepting diversity and making friends. This exhibition, geared to young children, will include scheduled readings from selected books. 

Featured illustrations include: "Brundibar" by Maurice Sendak, "Feather Bed Journey" by Stacey Schuett, "Passage to Freedom" by Dom Lee, "The Sneetches" by Dr. Seuss, "Terrible Things" by Stephen Gammell.

This exhibit is generously underwritten by the W.A. & Madeline Smith Charitable Trust.
