“Testimony: The Legacy of Schindler’s List and the USC Shoah Foundation,” with Dr. Stephen D. Smith

Steven Spielberg and Universal Pictures opened their archives to create this fascinating volume commemorating the 20th anniversary of “Schindler’s List” and the creation of the USC Shoah Foundation. Part 1 shares riveting insights into the making of the film. Part 2 tells of the building of the worldwide organization whose mission is education in the ongoing battle to prevent genocides. Dr. Stephen D. Smith is the executive director of the USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education. He is a theologian by training and the inaugural holder of the UNESCO Chair on Genocide Education. He founded Aegis Trust in 2000 with his brother, James M. Smith.
