gu\u00eda en espa\u00f1ol del Centro Boniuk del Museo del Holocausto de Houston e Iniciativas Latinas invitan a artistas latinxs del \u00e1rea de Houston para participar en: Resistir: arte latino en tiempos de conflicto.   <\/p>\n<p>Esta exposici\u00f3n investiga la idea de resistencia y sus m\u00faltiples ramificaciones en las artes visuales, as\u00ed como el impacto del conflicto pol\u00edtico y \/ o social en el proceso creativo. La exposici\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n explora temas de justicia social y derechos humanos para inspirar conversaciones provocadas por las obras de arte de artistas latinxs de Houston. Resistir pretende ser una plataforma que examine los problemas que impactan a la comunidad, fomente el di\u00e1logo sobre cuestiones dif\u00edciles y, en \u00faltima instancia, potencie el cambio social a trav\u00e9s del arte. Los artistas deben seleccionar obras que reflejan estos temas literal o metaf\u00f3ricamente.<\/p>\n<p>La muestra estar\u00e1 exhibida conjuntamente con la beca del Instituto Silverman Latinoamericano. Se invitan a los artistas latinxs a unirse a la conversaci\u00f3n sobre el arte como catalizador del cambio y a unirse a los educadores y a los interesados \u200b\u200ben la promoci\u00f3n para aprender acerca de justicia social, derechos humanos y el Holocausto.<\/p>\n<p>Esta exposici\u00f3n est\u00e1 curada por las curadoras invitadas Gabriela Magana y Rosa Ana Orlando.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriela Magana, artista y curadora naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en M\u00e9xico radicada en Houston. Tiene una licenciatura en pintura de la Universidad de St. Thomas Houston y actualmente est\u00e1 trabajando en una maestr\u00eda en liderazgo art\u00edstico de la Universidad de Houston. A lo largo de su carrera en M\u00e9xico, Estados Unidos y Espa\u00f1a, se ha interesado en crear un espacio de di\u00e1logo, conexi\u00f3n e inclusi\u00f3n en las artes.<\/p>\n<p>Rosa Ana Orlando es una especialista en museos con un amplio conocimiento en historia del arte. Tiene m\u00e1s de 15 a\u00f1os de experiencia en la gesti\u00f3n de colecciones de arte, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n una s\u00f3lida formaci\u00f3n en planificaci\u00f3n y dise\u00f1o de exposiciones. Ha ense\u00f1ado apreciaci\u00f3n del arte a nivel universitario y ha sido docente en una variedad de museos incluyendo museos de arte, de historia y museos para ni\u00f1os. Como curadora y consultora de arte independiente, Rosa Ana ha dirigido varios proyectos curatoriales y una variedad de programas de educaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica. Tambi\u00e9n ha brindado tutor\u00eda a varios artistas emergentes y profesionales de museos. Su atenci\u00f3n al detalle, entusiasmo y pasi\u00f3n por el poder transformador del arte se reflejan en todos sus proyectos. Rosa Ana es ingeniera con una Maestr\u00eda en Artes Liberales y una Maestr\u00eda en Estudios de Museos de la Universidad Johns Hopkins. Naci\u00f3 y creci\u00f3 en Caracas, Venezuela y ha vivido en los Estados Unidos desde 2003.<\/p>\n<p>El Instituto Latinoamericano Silverman, con el apoyo del Fondo de Dotaci\u00f3n Tte. David L. Silverman, reunir\u00e1 a 30 educadores de Am\u00e9rica Latina y Estados Unidos para estudiar el Holocausto, los derechos humanos y la justicia social. Trabajando juntos entre varios pa\u00edses, crear\u00e1n redes que mejorar\u00e1n las colaboraciones en curso.
