_module_preset=\u00bb86455770-bee1-437e-a943-6f643df6ecc0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Aunque la Segunda Guerra Mundial es uno de los conflictos m\u00e1s documentados del siglo 20, las audiencias occidentales han visto muy pocas im\u00e1genes fotogr\u00e1ficas sovi\u00e9ticas.<\/p>\n<p>A partir del 25 de abril de 2013, en el Museo del Holocausto de Houston, la exposici\u00f3n \u201cA trav\u00e9s de ojos jud\u00edos sovi\u00e9ticos: fotograf\u00eda, guerra y el Holocausto\u201d presenta 58 fotograf\u00edas que muestran la guerra como la presenciaron a trav\u00e9s de sus lentes los fotoperiodistas sovi\u00e9ticos m\u00e1s importantes.<br \/>La exposici\u00f3n permanecer\u00e1 abierta al p\u00fablico hasta el domingo, 27 de octubre de 2013 en la Galer\u00eda Central del museo.<\/p>\n<p>Impresa durante seis d\u00e9cadas, la colecci\u00f3n destaca las obras de Evgenii Khaldei, Georgii Zelma y Dmitrii Baltermants, entre otros, desde el nacimiento de la era sovi\u00e9tica hasta la Gran Guerra Patria, tambi\u00e9n conocida como el Frente Oriental de la guerra. Un gran n\u00famero de fotoperiodistas sovi\u00e9ticos eran jud\u00edos, y la exposici\u00f3n explora aspectos de lo que esta identidad religiosa y cultural pudo haber significado al momento de confrontar la guerra y la persecuci\u00f3n nazi a trav\u00e9s de los ojos sovi\u00e9ticos y jud\u00edos. Encargado por el estado estalinista de contar la historia visual, estos artistas estaban conectados emocional e intelectualmente para documentar el Holocausto. Con su convincente fotograf\u00eda de guerra, fueron los primeros en documentar la liberaci\u00f3n de los lugares de atrocidad nazi. Tres a\u00f1os antes otros hab\u00edan hecho una cr\u00f3nica de la liberaci\u00f3n de los campos de concentraci\u00f3n en Alemania.<\/p>\n<p>La exposici\u00f3n incluye arte, cultura y est\u00e9tica con fotograf\u00edas que van desde la era de la guerra nazi-sovi\u00e9tica del 22 de junio de 1941 hasta el D\u00eda de la Victoria, el 9 de mayo de 1945. La secci\u00f3n de apertura pone en contexto las im\u00e1genes de guerra dentro de la tradici\u00f3n constructivista y del realismo socialista de la fotograf\u00eda sovi\u00e9tica en las d\u00e9cadas de los a\u00f1os 20 y 30.<\/p>\n<p>Prestada al Museo del Holocausto de Houston por el CU Art Museum, de la Universidad de Colorado Boulder, la exposici\u00f3n fue conservada por David Shneer, director del Programa de Estudios Jud\u00edos y profesor de historia en la Universidad de Colorado, y Lisa Tamiris Becker, directora del CU Art Museum.<br \/>Inspirada por el libro de Shneer del mismo nombre, aclamado por la cr\u00edtica, y finalista del premio National Jewish Book Award, \u201cA trav\u00e9s de los ojos jud\u00edos sovi\u00e9ticos\u201d resalta el principal reto de la est\u00e9tica avant-garde y del \u201carte\u201d mismo que fue planteado por la guerra y por la cultura sovi\u00e9tica de la \u00e9poca.<br \/>Las fotograf\u00edas que se presentan incluyen varias colecciones privadas particulares que nunca antes han sido expuestas en p\u00fablico. Abarcando desde dram\u00e1ticas impresiones de gran tama\u00f1o a peque\u00f1as impresiones de \u00e9poca, la exposici\u00f3n ahonda en la vida m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las fotograf\u00edas y en el continuo inter\u00e9s de la sociedad contempor\u00e1nea y del mundo del arte por verlas.<\/p>\n<p>Se invita al p\u00fablico a una recepci\u00f3n de preestreno gratis de 6 a 8 p. m. el jueves, 16 de marzo de 2013.
