EXHIBITIONS

Human Rights Art

The “Human Rights Art” exhibition cultivates human rights awareness, reflection and activism, showcased in 32 mixed media artworks from the permanent collection of South Texas College. This educational exhibition addressing global and regional human rights, social justice and environmental issues features artists Sharon Sayegh, Keith Sharp, Guadalupe Victoria Reyes and Deborah South McEvoy. Through their artwork and personal statements, the artists strive to encourage reflection, and generate discussion that ultimately leads to change.

The new exhibit runs through Sunday, June 3, 2018, in the Museum’s Mincberg Gallery at the Morgan Family Center, 9220 Kirby Dr., Suite 100. HMH members are invited to an opening reception held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, with opening remarks from Jenny Bryson Clark, Associate Professor of Political Science and chair of Women’s Studies at South Texas College, at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but advance registration is required for this reception.
