Admission is always free for children, students, HMH members and college-level students with valid school ID. Nonmember general admission is $12. Admission for seniors age 65 and over, members of AARP and for active-duty military personnel is $8. Advance reservations are not required, except for group tours of 10 of more.

The Museum is not recommended for children under age 10.

Parking is available directly in front of the Museum. Visitors may park in unlabeled spots or spots labeled "HMH." Bus parking is available directly behind the building. Parking for the disabled is available as the parking spots immediately in front of the Museum staff system.

Restrooms are located to the left, down the back hallway in front of the Mincberg Gallery.

Firearms, including without limitation handguns, shotguns and rifles (whether concealed or openly carried) are prohibited on the Museum premises and parking areas pursuant to Sections 30.06 and 30.07 of the Texas Penal Code.

Cell phone usage is not permitted in the exhibition or memorial areas unless being used to access phone-based audio tours for some changing exhibitions.

Photography and videography are not permitted inside the Museum. All cameras must be left with the Front Desk on entry.

Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted inside the Museum.

All large bags, backpacks, briefcases and packages must be checked at the Front Desk. All hand-carried items are subject to inspection.

The Museum is wheelchair-accessible, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available free on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Museum closes at 5 p.m. Please plan your visit to allow adequate time to tour the Permanent Exhibition. A complete tour generally takes a minimum of two hours.

The Museum is closed for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For other holiday hours, visit the "Events" tab on the Museum’s Web site at

Holocaust Museum Houston is an accredited member of the American Alliance of Museums.

Docent-led tours can be scheduled for schools and groups of 10 or more. Tours are available in Spanish, English and French. To arrange a docent-led tour, please call Visitor Services at 713-942-8000, ext. 302 or submit the form below.

Guided tours are available for all visitors on Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
