Power and Possibility: Choices in the Workplace
 

Holocaust Museum Houston’s Education Department conducts fee-for-service workshops that focus on the roles that people in various professions played during the Holocaust. These one-day events take place in the Museum’s classroom and exhibit space. A typical workshop includes:

  • Introductions
  • Connecting the Holocaust to the professions
  • Tour of “Bearing Witness: A Community Remembers”
  • Analysis of documents relating professions and the Holocaust (e.g., photograph analysis, law, etc. )
  • Group discussion
  • Evaluation of program

Although a general program can be conducted in which participants consider the various roles that people in various professions played during the Holocaust, specific presentations for the following groups also are available:

  • Legal
  • Medical
  • Educational
  • Commerce and Industry
  • Arts
  • Transportation
  • Media
