Admission HMH members, students and college-level students with valid school ID receive free admission. Nonmember general admission is $12. Admission for seniors age 65 and over and for active-duty military personnel is $8. Advance reservations are not required, except for group tours of 10 of more.

The Museum is not recommended for children under age 10.

Parking is available directly in front of the Museum off the Caroline Street entrance and on the Calumet Street side. On-street parking is available on three sides of the Museum. Bus parking is available on the Prospect Street side. Parking for the disabled is available in the lot immediately in front of the Museum off Caroline Street.

Restrooms are located in the main hallway to the left just past the Store shopping area. An infant changing table is available in the restroom on the right side of the hallway.

Cell phone usage is not permitted in the exhibition or memorial areas unless being used to access phone-based audio tours for some changing exhibitions.

Photography and videography are not permitted inside the Museum. All cameras must be left with the Front Desk on entry.

Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted inside the Museum. Restaurant facilities are available within walking distance.

All large bags, backpacks, briefcases and packages must be checked at the Front Desk. All hand-carried items are subject to inspection.

The Museum is wheelchair-accessible, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available free on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Museum closes at 5 p.m. Please plan your visit to allow adequate time to tour the Permanent Exhibition. A complete tour generally takes a minimum of two hours.

The Museum is within walking distance of the METRORail stops on Fannin and San Jacinto Streets and is approximately 10 minutes travel by car or METRO bus from downtown Houston.

The Museum is closed for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For other holiday hours, visit the "Events" tab on the Museum’s Web site at www.hmh.org.

There are numerous other attractions within walking distance, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Children’s Museum of Houston; Houston Museum of Natural Science; the Health Museum; Contemporary Arts Museum; and The Weather Museum.

The Laurie and Milton Boniuk Resource Center and Library is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Library is closed Sundays.

Effective April 15, 2014, admission rates for Holocaust Museum Houston will change. Please note the new rates:

Holocaust Museum Houston is free each Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Memorial Day (May 26, 2014), D-Day (June 6, 2014), Kristallnacht (Nov. 9, 2014) and International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27, 2015).

Tours
 
Docent-led tours can be scheduled for schools and groups of 10 or more. Tours are available in Spanish, English and French. To arrange a docent-led tour, please call Visitor Services at 713-942-8000, ext. 302 or submit the form below.

Guided tours are available for all visitors on Saturday and Sunday. Weekend tours run at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
