What Kind of World Do You Dream About?

Holocaust Museum Houston is proud to announce the 2017-2018 Engines of Change Student Ambassador’s Program. This program introduces Houston-area high school students to Holocaust history and enables them to better understand current issues and perspectives and to develop their own informed opinions and voices.Engines of Change

By encouraging young leaders to recognize that hate, prejudice and apathy continue to harm individuals and society as a whole, this program encourages the next generation to care about and confront these perils. Students will create a community of upstanders who improve their ability to analyze concerns that affect their city, state and the larger world, while exploring their roles as citizens of a democracy. Throughout the Engines of Change Program, students will be actively engaged in their own education and community, helping to lead discussion on several topics, including:

  • The Holocaust and Genocide
  • Ethics
  • Community Engagement
  • Hate groups & Free Speech
  • Poverty and Its Issues in 21st Century America
  • Violence in Our Community, Country & World
  • Social Media & Technology
  • Disparities in Equality & Justice

To apply to be an Engines of Change Student Ambassador, complete the application online by May 31, 2017.
